WEBEL Land regional archive

About the project

West Bengal is a state in the eastern region of India and is the nation's fourth-most populous state, with over 91 million inhabitants spread over the territory of over 88 thousand km2. The data about each resident and acre is stored in many land archives.

About the solution

Fire protection for archives is paramount – data that are destroyed by fires may be irretrievably lost. Therefore, 178 land archive sites (in phase 1) are equipped with a compact 1-loop Integral IP BX fire alarm panel with intelligent IP interface. Soumen Banerjee (DGM, Webel Mediatronics) says "Schrack Seconet has won the project, among other reasons due to the great versatility of the IP applications". Based on an innovative technology all processes shall be reported within seconds to the central control station in Kolkata, and the status of all 178 systems can be conveniently remote-analysed. The first 45 fire alarm panels were delivered in the record time of just four weeks. “Supplying such a great volume in so little time is a tremendous achievement and requires fast and powerful logistics,” says Hübl head of the export department of Schrack Seconet. “Thanks to our flexibility and our great teamwork we were able to meet this challenge.”
