University Children's Hospital of Krakow
Hospital
About the project
The University Children's Hospital of Krakow is the largest children's hospital in the south of Poland, with about 200,000 outpatient visits annually. Approximately 33,000 of these are visits to the emergency room. The hospital has 24 operating theatres, 925 beds, 24 of which are used for emergency admissions, 27 specialist clinics, 1,265 parking spaces and an area of over 15 hectares. The hospital has to fulfil diagnostic, curative, educational and scientific duties.
About the solution
Schrack Seconet has equipped the hospital with the modern nurse-call communication system Visocall IP, which, as the name suggests, uses IP technology.
The system consists of 46 staff terminals with colour touchscreens, 573 communication terminals in patient rooms and doctors' offices, 52 intercom systems in the entrance areas, and 980 patient control panels, which can also control the lighting for beds. Additonally, the system has been equipped with an event database, which is available via an Internet browser, a visualisation station with speech communication function, and interfaces for integrating into the telephone exchange.
