About the project
The Linz Hospital of the Sisters of Mercy merged with the the Elisabethinen Hospital in 2017, to form the Ordensklinikum Linz. The hospital treats 215,000 outpatients annually, records 76,000 inpatient admissions and performs more than 22,000 operations. With more than 3,500 employees at both locations, top-level treatment is guaranteed.
About the solution
The Ordensklinikum Linz has relied on solutions from Schrack Seconet for many years. Thanks to forward and backward compatibility of the existing installed nurse call systems, ongoing updates to new technologies are possible. During full operation, the nursecall system in several departments was changed to the modern communication system Visocall IP. In some wards, the extensive disorientation system Securwatch was also added, which reliably locates people in dangerous situations.
Schrack Seconet systems also provide necessary security for fire safety. The Integral fire alarm control panels have around 6,000 automatic fire detectors and five highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors and are constantly being extended and updated to the latest technological standards.
