Hotel Intercontinental
About the project
After the grand opening in autumn 2003, the 153-metre-high International Hotel, with a panoramic view over Warsaw, is the highest building in the Polish capital. The building-site was previously home to the legendary jazz club “Aquarius”. The operators wanted to retain the tradition, so the Jazz-Café is situated on the ground floor and provides perfect entertainment for visitors and guests.
Focusing on customers' enjoyment, Hotel Intercontinental offers two restaurants with over 130 seats, a bar/lounge and a lobby-bar, in addition to 24-hours room-service. The hotel has 414 rooms, including 75 apartments available for longer-term stays. Moreover, the hotel space of 57,400m² includes a fitness club with swimming pool on the 43rd and 44th floor. The five-star security installed by Schrack Seconet, protects this iconic hotel with a networked fire alarm control system.
About the solution
Hotel Intercontinental opted for a five-star security. Schrack Seconet installed nine integral fire-alarm panels in a network with more than 6000 fire alarm detectors. The SecoLOG fire alarm control system can now monitor and show the current state of the entire fire-alarm system.
