ŠKODA Auto
Car Manufactury
About the project
The Czech carmaker ŠKODA Auto, a subsidiary of the VW Group, produces the latest in cars, engines and transmissions and employs a three-shift operation at its three plants in Mladá Boleslav, Vrchlabí and Kvasiny. The factory buildings are up to 16 metres high and require smoke detectors which allow monitoring, even at such heights.
About the solution
Thanks to their availability for use, even under challenging conditions, the special ASD 535 and ADW 535 fire detectors from Schrack Seconet ensure fire protection on the factory floor. In this case, the ASD 535 is used in its high halls. An aspiration line runs all the way up to the ceiling witch several openings, wherein each one works as a point detector. The air is sucked in via the openings.
With production areas such as the welding shop, it is important to ensure secure fire protection even in dust conditions. The line shaped heat detectors are resistant to extreme conditions and requires minimal maintenance.
