About the project
At Semmelweis University, the medical department was founded by Maria Theresia in 1769, in the former teaching institution from 1635. Around 2,000 students train at the university. The internationally-known education and research institution welcomes students from around the world. The university boasts highly-advanced laboratory equipment for research and practical use, well-stocked libraries, modern lecture rooms and an animal shelter. The architecturally-impressive building has won the Hungarian "Real Estate Development Niveau" and the “Building Industrial Niveau“ awards.
About the solution
Semmelweis University is now equipped with state-of-the-art fire alarm systems to guarantee the highest level of security. Schrack Seconet has installed Integral fire alarm panel with around 1,600 smoke detectors - which monitor lecture rooms, research labs, office rooms and the entire underground car park. Furthermore, all toilets have been equipped with special emergency call systems for physically disabled students and staff. A fire-alarm panel has also been installed in the security control center of the university.
