About the project

The National Marine Fisheries Research Institute in Gdynia investigates the marines ecosystems and raises public awareness about topics like sustainable fisheries and the sustainable use of the marine ecosystem. The worlds-famous Gdynia Aquarium, which is a part of the institute, is a zoological garden and is home to over 1,600 specimens from more than 200 species of sea and freshwater fish.

About the solution

Schrack Seconet systems protect the research institute buildings, covering a total area of 20,000 square metres. The security systems establish a safe base for the future of science in Poland and include three fire alarm control panels, with more than 300 multisensor smoke and heat detectors (MTD 533), and 130 optical smoke detectors (OSD 2000).
