When I was about to start a new career in 2018, I made an immediate and conscious decision in favour of Schrack Seconet – also encouraged by my long-standing and appreciative industry contacts with company employees. Today, I can say that it has turned out exactly as I had hoped and imagined.

Career

From 1989 to 2008, I first worked as an electromechanical engineer and was then responsible for technical product management. Starting in 2008, I worked as a product manager for Honeywell EMEA for ten years.

In 2018, Schrack Seconet offered me a new professional home and welcomed me with open arms. I am proud to work for this vital, medium-sized, constantly growing company. The whole team is striving for success together – we are all on the same wavelength, with a lot of commitment and joy.

My tasks

Product management primarily concerns dealing with questions and feedback from the market on our product lines, evaluating information from our customers and colleagues, making adjustments where necessary, and initiating forward-looking further developments and solutions.

My focus at Schrack Seconet is on fire detectors, optical and acoustic alarm devices as well as the entire product portfolio for speech-based alarms.

If I could have a superpower, it would be teleportation through space and/or time, in order to recognise, analyse and if necessary optimise connections even earlier.

Three things I particularly appreciate about my work:

Managing innovative solutions to protect people and values
Responsibility for different product portfolios
The open and appreciative internal and external discussion culture

The most important lesson in my life so far:

Despite personal diligence and commitment, factors beyond our control can lead to decisive job and life changes. You hears this again and again, even affected by it, but then it is something completely different. I have learned not to lose heart, but to focus on the new possibilities.
