The standards of preventive system-based fire protection still demand exclusive networks – a very important security aspect. For retrieval and display of information as well as for exchanging data with other systems, already existing but also foreign networks - such as Intranet or Internet - can be used.
When designing an Integral IP fire alarm system, multiple and freely selectable topologies can be implemented. Up to 16 control stations can be installed on Ethernet basis in stub, loop or mesh topology and extended even at a later point. These networked control panels are operating as one large central fire alarm control panel and have all information of the other control panels.
If very large systems are used, Integral LAN networks are integrated in a superordinated Integral WAN network. The Integral LAN networks thereby form autonomous systems and all information are converge at a central information point. In addition, the Integral WAN enables easy expansion of Schrack Seconet fire alarm systems - regardless of age or stage of development. Furthermore, control panels of different Integral generation can be networked together.
Fibre optic links or copper cables
Control panels are connected to networks without modems and converters directly via the control panel. Separate network modules are available for the various transmission media. They are directly integrated in the cabinets and therefore equipped with emergency power supply in conformance with EN 54-4.
