Highest standards for the 2018 Football World Cup
About the project
You can't miss it in panoramic views of Moscow: The Luzhniki Stadium, which since its opening in 1956, has been the venue of many high-calibre sporting events. For the 2018 Football World Cup, the listed building was upgraded using state-of-the-art technology. The Building Management System (BMS) Schrack Seconet supplied brought all technical systems together. In the stadium, the new enhanced system provided an optimal overview of the air conditioning, ventilation, lighting and fire alarm system.
The demands on the fire alarm systems were very high: In addition to maximum reliability and flexibility, simple maintenance was also required. It also needed to be possible to start up the system step by step and ensure backwards and forwards compatibility. The Schrack Seconet concept met all requirements. A total of 16 fire alarm control panels, 11,700 multiple sensor detectors and 40 smoke aspiration systems were implemented.
About the solution
The entire area has been divided into 111 extinguishing zones. If necessary, gas extinguishing can now be initiated via a complex output. The SecoLOG IP alarm management system provides a clear overview of all components. One system now coordinates the fire alarm systems, another outputs for the lifts in the event of a fire etc., and there are two redundancy systems. Due to the complexity of the project, a SecoNET fire alarm network was also implemented, which integrates all components. Finally, Schrack Seconet installed the Visocall IP call systems in the sanitary facilities, which now meets the high security standards for physically disabled people in Russia.
