About the project
Galeria is the second largest shopping centre in Saint Petersburg, in its turn inhabited by almost 5 million people - the second largest city in Russia. On the area of almost 200,000 m2 one finds a leisure and shopping paradise featuring five floors with 300 shops, a 10 metre-screen cinema, a 27-lane bowling alley, fitness centre, a 1000-seat food court, 6 restaurants, supermarket, children’s play area and 1200 covered car-parking spaces.
About the solution
Having a central location and a modern design, Galeria became a trendsetting shopping mall with an average weekend attendance ratio of 40,000 visitors. Large areas and high concentration of people sets a prime importance on the fire safety of the object. Drawing on long experience the employees of Schrack Seconet took at challenge to plan and implement the project. Finally, the entire building has been equipped with 14 fire alarm panels and 12,000 detectors, the safety of customers and staff has been secured.
