About the project
The ELLA senior citizens' centre in the municipality of Vahrn in the South Tyrolean district of Bressanone is a unique and forward-looking residential project that not only offers residents security but also gives them a sense of community – without having to sacrifice their privacy.
The residential complex has the energy class KlimaHaus ‘A’ Nature and impresses not only with its modern architectural design featuring public spaces, gardens, outpatient clinics, a bar and a cafeteria. It also blends harmoniously into the surroundings of the municipality of Vahrn. This gives residents the opportunity to actively participate in local social life – which makes the living space much more human and comfortable.
About the solution
During the six-year construction period, Schrack Seconet was committed to contributing to the security of residents from the outset with dedication and expertise. As a high-tech company and one of the leading international suppliers of fire detectors and communication systems for the healthcare sector, our mission is to protect people and property.
To ensure maximum security and comfort in this modern living environment, our integrated solutions were used extensively:
- Visocall IP: The system is indispensable for greater security and comfort in healthcare facilities. As a native FULL IP system, it enables responsive care and direct voice connections between residents and staff. This significantly reduces the distances travelled by care staff, maximising the time available for direct care and increasing satisfaction for all involved.
- Integral EvoxX fire alarm systems: These integrated systems set new safety standards and were developed with a forward-looking vision. The fully redundant system architecture ensures maximum operational reliability thanks to consistent redundancy. Sensors with CUBUS technology continuously measure temperature and the formation of smoke to trigger precise and timely alarms.
- G+M APS9000: The connection between the EvoxX operating panels and the acoustic evacuation system ensures clear and precise announcements – a crucial factor for efficient management in dangerous situations.
A total of over 700 smoke and temperature sensors and more than 400 loudspeakers were installed in the 120 rooms and residential units, which immediately sound the alarm in the event of a temperature increase or the development of a fire. With a total output of over 3000 W for announcements and evacuations, barrier-free alarm notification is also guaranteed in an emergency.
