The 2nd February, 2018 was my first day at Schrack Seconet and my 40th birthday. I must say that I have felt particularly welcome here from the very beginning. My colleagues as well as my superiors were very helpful and made my start incredibly pleasant. In my opinion, this openness and collegiality is also one of Schrack Seconet's greatest strengths.

How it all began

During my last job, which involved the change from a 40-year-old IT landscape to a standard solution, I was told by a recruiter that Schrack Seconet was looking for an IT Strategist. The position was newly created to realign IT – just what I was looking for. I love challenges and the opportunity to change things. My current position offers me both and I am excited about it every day. It's particularly pleasing that colleagues' support and their willingness to change is always present – even though it costs sometimes a little conviction.

My activities as head of digital strategy include:

Analysing the existing IT landscape
Identifying possibilities to adapt our IT to the today’s requirements
Managing IT projects
Organisational development

My mindset and willingness to take on challenges and enjoy designing and developing from them, is a great help here.

If I were to describe myself with one word, it would be "analytical".

What did you want to become as a child?

For a very long time, it has been my professional wish to become a judge, since my uncle is a judge. After the first part of my studies in law, however, the desire was no longer so great and I ended up in IT.
