Feature-Sets: Knowledge Management and Site Management

"As a manufacturer, it’s extremely important to us that our fire protection solutions can be used and managed in the best possible way. Our new Service Platform ensures that, at any time and without effort, our partners can be up to date with the latest knowledge and have all the data and tools at hand that they need for their everyday work."

René Türk, Head of Product Management Information Systems

Become a "know-it-all”

One of the greatest achievements of digital services is that – provided there’s an internet connection – information is always and quickly available everywhere. However, knowledge from the cloud is only actually useful if you can access reliable sources of information and user-friendly tools. With the innovative Service Platform, Schrack Seconet offers exactly that: A well-founded digital manufacturer knowledge database that is a specialist library, information point and planning consultancy all in one – with all the product information needed to support fire alarm systems and with the option of integrating individual project details. And because good customer service is also a decisive sales argument for a product, Schrack Seconet provides its partners with the most important information and management tools as a FREE package.

Knowledge at the touch of a button

"As a manufacturer, it’s extremely important to us that our fire protection solutions can be used and managed in the best possible way. Our new Service Platform ensures that, at any time and without effort, our partners can be up to date with the latest knowledge and have all the data and tools at hand that they need for their everyday work," explains René Türk, Head of Product Management Information Systems. This is exactly what the product knowledge management feature set for Schrack Seconet products was designed for. It provides access to a manufacturer database that is richly populated with up-to-date information on fire alarm systems, specific individual devices and all of the associated components: Data sheets, installation manuals, certificates and planning tools as well as information on spare parts and ordering are included. Clearly structured and particularly easy to find: Whether it be in the office or on site with the customer – the desired data and product information can be retrieved at any time, easy-going via a full-text search on the web or with Integral Scan on your mobile phone.

Maintaining the overview

In order to keep an eye on the big picture across all projects, locations and expansion stages, but also to be able to quickly access specific detailed information, the site management feature set is offered to Schrack Seconet partners. This extremely powerful function brings order to fire alarm systems and enhances general product information with individual project data: Programming, installed devices, construction plans, etc. can be imported directly into the system using the tool and managed from there. The advantage of this one-stop organisation is that the entire project logic as well as the knowledge about the compatibility of systems is stored centrally – this also allows the specific data to be compared and analysed directly. In addition to the good overall view that is gained, there are also highly practical effects for the workflow: This way, one team member can seamlessly continue another's work because the current project status is stored and available at any time. This is not only efficient, but also simple, flexible, and fully transparent.
