The company has subsidiaries in Poland, Sweden and Hungary as well as regional offices in Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Turkey. In Austria, Schrack Seconet AG – headquartered in Vienna – operates in all federal provinces from six branch offices, with several affiliated service centres throughout Austria, thereby ensuring high quality customer service.

 

The company, which was founded following a management buy out from Ericsson Schrack AG, started trading with 135 employees in 1994, and now has 346 employees around the world.

 

The Swiss Securitas Group holds a 90% stake in Schrack Seconet with Hans Zavesky holding the remaining 10 % stake. Hans Zavesky, the company’s founder, handed over the reins as operative General Director to Wolfgang Kern at the end of 2005 and took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board on 22^nd June 2006.

 

 

 

Having taken over the role of being a competence centre within the Swiss Securitas Gruppe, responsible for developing fire alarm, nurse call and billing systems, this role has been extended and the company’s position within the group has therefore been considerably strengthened. Austrian know-how plays an even greater role in the group’s international cooperation.

 

 

 

The market share of market leader Schrack Seconet AG market share stands, in Austria, at 40% for fire detection and alarm systems and 70% for nurse call systems.

As well as being the market leader in these fields in Austria, Schrack Seconet AG has also built up significant market shares in the Central and Eastern European markets.

 

 

 

Schrack Seconet AG employs 20 employees in development alone, who constantly launch new innovations on the market, thereby ensuring even greater safety for human life and assets. Approximately EUR 2.1 million – or 4.6 % of total turnover - is invested by the company annually in research and development each year.

 

In its hospital communications division Schrack Seconet AG has launched a product, VISOCALL‑IP on the market, which guarantees a seamless communications network for staff members and patients alike in all rooms and facilities of hospitals and residential homes. In its fire alarm technology division, the MTD 533 optothermal detector with its many innovative features is taking the world by storm and the Integral Evolution Fire Alarm Control Panel will be groundbreaking for preventative fire safety.

 

 

 

Schrack Seconet was the first company in the security systems sector to receive ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.

The VISOCALL PLUS nurse call system, which has been developed by Schrack Seconet AG was also the first system worldwide to have obtained an approval certificate in accordance with VDE 0834 when awarded one by the Austrian Association for Electrical Engineering (OVE). VDE 0834 prescribes concrete system functions and standards as well as safety-related aspects and environmental pollution standards.

 

 

As a highly-renowned full service provider of security solutions, Schrack Seconet’s specialists are able to offer customers many years of experience, in-depth knowledge and comprehensive product knowledge, acting as partners. As part of a multi-tiered process aimed at problem solving, the customer’s security requirements and customer-specific security issues are analysed. Consequently a risk analysis profile is then produced. Schrack Seconet then presents a comprehensive concept, which consists of system solutions and security concepts which are tailor-made to suit individual needs, as well as enabling superordinated security concepts – i.e. ones which connect fire prevention, nurse call and surveillance needs with one another. After having discussed the suggested solution with the customer, Schrack Seconet then takes care of the professional implementation of the concept.
