National library

"What can we do if there's a fire in Brno?" - that's what the inhabitants of the royal city were asking themselves even centuries ago. A "Fire Extinguishing Order" dating from 1769 and dealing with this question is in the possession of the Austrian National Library. However, time has left its mark on this valuable item. It is in a sorry state and needs restoration by experts.

This, of course, requires - apart from a lot of time - also money. For some years now the Austrian National Library has been offering book sponsorships. Schrack Seconet did not hesitate and assumed the patronage for the old book, which - on account of its subject - is excellently suited for the company.

The exact and awe-inspiring title of the work is:

"Neu aufgelegt- und verbesserte auch Von einem Hochlöbl. Kaiser-Königl. Landes-Gouverno raticirte Feuer-Lösch-Ordnung der Königlichen Stadt Brünn, in Ihro Kaiser- und Königl. Majestät Erb-Marggrafthum Mähren". ("New and improved edition of the Fire Extinguishing Order of the royal city of Brno, ratified by the Royal and Imperial Province Sovereign of Your Royal and Imperial Majesty's Hereditary Margraviate Moravia ".

Even in the centuries to come it will give evidence of an increasing fire protection awareness in the 18th century, and its continuing existence will be irrevocably linked to the name of today's leading Austrian manufacturer of fire alarm technology.
